PUMA Footwear & Sock Size Charts

Conversions for PUMA footwear and socks. PUMA publishes the same value for Germany, France, Italy and Spain, so those are combined into one EU column here. Japanese sizing is foot length in centimeters.

How to measure. Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, and measure the line. Measure at the end of the day, when your feet are at their largest, and use the longer foot. Between two sizes, take the half size up.

Men's to women's conversion

PUMA women's sizes run 1.5 above men's for the same EU size. A women's 10.5 and a men's 9 are both an EU 42.

Buying men's cleats as a woman? Most soccer cleats are built on a men's last. Subtract 1.5 from your women's US size. Note that PUMA uses a 1.5-size offset where adidas and Reebok use 1.0, so do not carry an adidas conversion across.

Fitting soccer cleats

PUMA cleats run true to your normal US shoe size. Order the size you wear in trainers.
Leave about a thumb's width between your longest toe and the end of the boot. Cleats should be snugger than a running shoe, but never pressing on the toe.
Fit lasts differ across PUMA's soccer lines. Future is cut regular to wide; Ultra is a narrower speed last. If your foot is wide through the forefoot, Future is the safer pick.
Try them on with the socks you play in. Match socks and shin guard sleeves change the fit more than most players expect.
Growing players: buy to fit now, not to grow into. A loose cleat slides and causes blisters and ankle rolls.
