  • The relegation battle continues

    March 22, 2015 2 min read

There has been so much movement amongst the bottom teams and I still think there are 6 teams that could go down. Its going to be a tremendous battle as we approach the end. On another note, I’m happy to say that my boys Crystal Palace have hit form and with two wins in two games, look good for a mid place finish. There will be more on Palace in the next few weeks, but for now we will concentrate on the bottom few.
QPR - I didn’t see it at the start of the season and even though they just came up, I felt they had enough quality and a good manager to keep them up. They have problems at both ends of the field, Charlie Austin is the one bright spark for them and after bagging 15 goals seems certain to get snapped up next year when QPR go down. Who else is going to score for the hoops? Unless they find someone else I believe its curtains for the R’s. At the back they have conceded more than any other team with 53………enough said. Finish Prediction: 19th and Relegated.
Burnley - I think they were everyone’s favorites to get relegated at the beginning of the year, but I think you will agree when I say Dyche and his battling team have been tremendous to watch. The win against Manchester City last week just tells you how exciting the premier league really has been and what a wonderful performance it was. They still play 4 teams in the last 8 games against relegation candidates, so its really in their court. Burnley have a wonderful striker in Ings, who’s clever runs and great around play have alerted the big boys of the league. Even if they stay up, I’m not sure he will still be a Burnley player next season. He will though score the goals needed to keep the Clarets up. Finish Prediction: 17th and stay up (by the skin of their teeth).
