There was a lot of action this weekend with soccer.  In the Barclays Premier League, we saw Manchester United struggle against a team that was fighting to stay out of regulation, but Hull City was going to be regulated because Newcastle won their game against West Ham United.  We saw Liverpool get massacred against Stoke City.  With Steven Gerrard’s last game as a Red, you would think the team would want to play a little better, but they got beat 6-1.  Gerrard did score the only goal for Liverpool though.  It seemed like Arsenal did not want to play in a play-off game for the Champions League.  After the first half it was 4-0, but Arsenal let up and let West Bromwich score one goal in the second half.

Most people after the final weekend are going to ask what happens next season.  Well the four teams that will have a chance in the Champions League are Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United, after a play-off game.  The Europa League is going to be Tottenham and Liverpool.  Southampton will have a chance only if Arsenal wins the FA Cup, which plays May 30th.  If Aston Villa wins then they get the chance to play in the Europa League.  The teams being regulated are Queens Park Rangers, Burnley, and Hull City.  The teams that will be replacing them are Bournemouth, Watford, and Norwich City.   Bournemouth has special attention because this will be the first time that they will be playing in the Premier League.  Do they have a chance to play with the likes of Manchester United or Chelsea?

What are your predictions for next season?  Who is going to win the League?
