This is the layer that goes on under the kit, and the padding is the whole point. The long-sleeve top carries lightweight two-zone padding on the elbows. The long tights carry it on the lateral side of the hips and over the knees. adidas uses TPU pads set into the knit rather than bulky pods sewn on top, so the garment still sits close to the body.
Those are the spots a keeper lands on — hip and elbow first on a dive, knees once the ground goes hard and dry. A young keeper who starts pulling out of dives in August is usually bruised rather than tired. The fabric is a 200 g/sqm doubleknit, 83% recycled polyester and 17% elastane, compressive enough to hold each pad where adidas placed it.

This is the third time we have ordered this ball model. The first two orders of this hold their air well and take a good amount of abuse from the U8 kids with no trouble. Time will tell if Wilson can hold up like the Brine balls always have.
There are so many variations of drills you can do with these ladders. It is a must have for any type of agility training with any age of player you work with.
I know Kwikgoal costs a little more, but these are taller than the cheaper ones on Amazon so it holds more cones. I have used these in practices for years, they hold up great.

adidas built this baselayer around one joint. TPU pads sit in two zones on the elbow, the point that meets the ground first when a keeper goes down in training. It is the top half of a set; the matching long tight pads the hips and knees instead.
adidas reports a tight fit. This is compression rather than a training top, and the padding only stays over the elbow if the fabric is holding it there, so sizing up for comfort defeats the point. The fabric is a 200 g/sqm doubleknit in 83% recycled polyester and 17% elastane, with no technology concept listed beyond the stretch and the pads.
Elastane and cold water get along; heat is what takes the stretch out. adidas asks for a cold delicate cycle, washed on its own, and the top out of the drum promptly. Low tumble is allowed here, which is more than most of this range gets.
