This is the layer that goes on under the kit, and the padding is the whole point. The long-sleeve top carries lightweight two-zone padding on the elbows. The long tights carry it on the lateral side of the hips and over the knees. adidas uses TPU pads set into the knit rather than bulky pods sewn on top, so the garment still sits close to the body.
Those are the spots a keeper lands on — hip and elbow first on a dive, knees once the ground goes hard and dry. A young keeper who starts pulling out of dives in August is usually bruised rather than tired. The fabric is a 200 g/sqm doubleknit, 83% recycled polyester and 17% elastane, compressive enough to hold each pad where adidas placed it.

This is the third time we have ordered this ball model. The first two orders of this hold their air well and take a good amount of abuse from the U8 kids with no trouble. Time will tell if Wilson can hold up like the Brine balls always have.
There are so many variations of drills you can do with these ladders. It is a must have for any type of agility training with any age of player you work with.
I know Kwikgoal costs a little more, but these are taller than the cheaper ones on Amazon so it holds more cones. I have used these in practices for years, they hold up great.

Really fast shipping. I ordered these a few days before my son's birthday celebration with his LFC youth soccer team. I wasn't sure if they would be here on time but they did.It's great and my son can't wait to give this to his teammates as party favors.
The bottom half of the adidas padded goalkeeper set. TPU pads sit on the lateral side of the hips and on the knee, the two points that take a sideways dive. The padding runs in two zones and is kept light enough that it does not read as protective gear over the top.
A 200 g/sqm doubleknit in 83% recycled polyester and 17% elastane, cut tight, with an elastic waistband. adidas lists no technology concept on it, so the fabric has one job: hold. That is what keeps each pad over its joint instead of letting it wander mid-session.
The 17% elastane is what holds the pads in place, and hot water is what takes that away. adidas asks for a cold delicate cycle, washed separately, and the tights out of the machine promptly. Tumble dry low if you need to.
