These are an underlayer, not a short. A keeper wears them beneath the match shorts, and the job they do is one thing: take the first hit when a diving save ends on the hip and the outside of the thigh. adidas lists lightweight two-zone padding on the lateral sides of the legs, sewn in and not removable. That is where the padding is, and that is the only place it is — nothing at the knee, the front of the thigh or the seat.
The fit is tight by design, in 200 g single jersey at 84% recycled polyester and 16% elastane, so the fabric compresses and the pads stay where a keeper put them instead of rotating mid-dive. The inseam is 18.4 cm, about seven inches, on a mid-rise elastic waist that does not need a drawcord. AEROREADY handles sweat under a second layer, which matters on an August afternoon.

This is the third time we have ordered this ball model. The first two orders of this hold their air well and take a good amount of abuse from the U8 kids with no trouble. Time will tell if Wilson can hold up like the Brine balls always have.
There are so many variations of drills you can do with these ladders. It is a must have for any type of agility training with any age of player you work with.
I know Kwikgoal costs a little more, but these are taller than the cheaper ones on Amazon so it holds more cones. I have used these in practices for years, they hold up great.

adidas has brought the padded goalkeeper short tight back, and the padding is the reason to buy it: two lightweight zones sitting on the lateral side of each leg, which is the part of you that meets the ground on a diving save. These are made to be worn under your keeper shorts, not instead of them. One colorway, black with white.

Inseam is 18.4 cm, and AEROREADY moves moisture underneath the kit.
Elastane is what keeps the compression honest and fabric softener is what ruins it. Cold wash, low tumble, inside out, and adidas asks for this one to go through on its own so the padding is not being hammered against zips and studs. It is made in part with recycled materials.
