This is the layer that goes on under the kit, and the padding is the whole point. The long-sleeve top carries lightweight two-zone padding on the elbows. The long tights carry it on the lateral side of the hips and over the knees. adidas uses TPU pads set into the knit rather than bulky pods sewn on top, so the garment still sits close to the body.
Those are the spots a keeper lands on — hip and elbow first on a dive, knees once the ground goes hard and dry. A young keeper who starts pulling out of dives in August is usually bruised rather than tired. The fabric is a 200 g/sqm doubleknit, 83% recycled polyester and 17% elastane, compressive enough to hold each pad where adidas placed it.

This is the third time we have ordered this ball model. The first two orders of this hold their air well and take a good amount of abuse from the U8 kids with no trouble. Time will tell if Wilson can hold up like the Brine balls always have.
There are so many variations of drills you can do with these ladders. It is a must have for any type of agility training with any age of player you work with.
I know Kwikgoal costs a little more, but these are taller than the cheaper ones on Amazon so it holds more cones. I have used these in practices for years, they hold up great.

adidas has set lightweight two-zone TPU pads into the elbows of this base layer, which is the point that takes the hit when a kid dives on a dry training pitch. The rest is left thin and stretchy so it sits under a goalkeeper shirt without bulking it out, with a flat ink heat-transfer adidas logo as the only marking.
adidas rates the fit as tight - compressive, sitting against the skin - so it does not size like a training top. The main body is a 200 g/sqm doubleknit at 83% recycled polyester and 17% elastane, with a 90/10 panel across the upper back. Crew neck, long sleeve. Sizes: YXS (7-8) / YS (9-10) / YM (11-12) / YL (13-14) / YXL (15-16), and a youth L is not an adult L.
The 17% elastane is what gives the compression, and a hot wash is what takes it away. Cold delicate cycle, tumble low, out of the machine promptly, washed on its own and inside out. There is no wicking technology listed on this one - what you are buying is the padding and the stretch.
